Trey Nixon is a long-time friend of the shop and has helped us out with tons of projects that needed a man with his expertise in the audio/visual realm. When we got a notice from Salsa Cycles that they were planning a top-secret return of their highly-coveted Fargo, we knew that we had finally found the perfect frameset for our friend Trey. Available from select dealers as a frame and fork only, the 2017 Salsa Fargo Titanium shares geometry and spacing with the current steel model. Split dropout for belt-drive compatibility, Boost spacing in the rear and their sweet raw titanium tubing make for a crazy good build. We had a few parts from a previous build waiting, and decided to make this titanium super-frame into the ultimate every-man build. Not all bikes need to have the latest and greatest parts hung on the frame to make the perfect build, and Trey, like many riders, opted to go with custom wheelset and some pre-loved components to keep the cost of this build realistic. 10 speed Sram Rival shifters mated to an X0 rear derailleur and a Microshift 11-42 cassette make for a sweet wide-range drivetrain that has been battle tested by a number of our local riders in events like the Land Run 100. Classic Avid BB7 brakes and Sram 900 series hubs laced to Easton ARC 40 27.5 rims round out this 650B+ build. Feel free to call the shop with any questions or to talk about your own custom build ideas! Congratulations Trey!
